but holy shit! i haven't heard a lord of the rings reference in AGES. my best friend pretty much literally lived under a rock pre-z so i spend most of my time trying to educate the poor kid on the glory of pop culture references.
Oh shoot, you're right. Maybe we'll get lucky. My roommate works there, so I could ask her if she's willing to squirrel away some.
I'm realizing references are always kind of a gamble here. People either come from a world that knows them or they really, really don't and then they just tend to look at you funny. Kind of like your friend.
